Richmond Web + Media C3 Weekly Roundup: Copeland Casati Media
Lalala...running fast, actually, flying. Here's what we've got this week.
- This is what you need to know about Google Personalized Search.
- "Google Gets Its First Taste Of Facebook’s Realtime Stream" http://ff.im/-czwKH
- And guess what? Facebook Will Be Google-able (If Your Profile is Set to Public)
Many of you balk, but know that if getting found via the web is important to you... it's something to consider, especially as realtime results pick up weight. - People protest Social Media is for the narcissistic. Let's talk about YOU.
- Even more,
Social Search: Customers Influence Search Results Over Brands - *Sigh*... Stuck at home? (Um not that I ever am. No. Really.) UStream.com allows you to view, participate in events no matter where you're located. Richmond's Social Media Club used it for their focus on social media in film and music! Watching from afar (dag), the user experience seemed much better than the trials and errors I encountered with TwitCam. I will definitely be testing out UStream the next time I... leave and do something, *anything* interesting. (Not that those cams were interesting. One was of a rocking chair. Niiiiiiiice. #NeedsALife...)
This two minute video breaks it down to the big picture:
I understand this is confusing, new territory. But it's always good to question, keep an eye out for new issues on the horizon- you never know when what you think is perpetual will be shaken. See it as liberating, be curious. In business it is good to review data, and look at unconsidered opportunity.
For all the data and facts and passionate strategy... keep yer heart, listen to your intuition... backed up, of course, with good decision-making facts. (Wonder what The Naked Portfolio Manager would say on this?)
Thanks for listening…
